Ana:I am a composer, singer and guitarist. Working with Brazilian popular music with an ethnic influence. I have always written songs with environmental themes and since 2008, been developing a number of musical works with the Earth Charter. I do concerts and now I do several shows, including:
-”Samba-ball – about the history of football in the Brazilian music”;
- “I am water” – environment and sustainability;
- “Lecture-Entertainment- Earth Charter for Children”;
- “I am water” – environment and sustainability;
- “Lecture-Entertainment- Earth Charter for Children”;
I give music tutoring for children and music courses for teachers. I have released two albums: That I bring the song in 2002 and Beyond time, 2008. Both can be purchased by e-mail or at ana@anaperson.com.br and producao@anaperson.com.br
Sil: How will you be participating in the Rio +20?
Ana: I’ll be participating in the Rio +20 through my music. We’ll be opening the event Earth Charter at the Rio +20, on June 19 at 13:30 (Brazilian time) at Teatro Nelson Rodrigues-Cultural Complex of the Caixa Econômica Federal, Avenida República do Chile, 230, Middle River / RJ. Somehow, I will also be engaged in the events of the People’s Summit, for sure.
Sil: How many people are involved?
Ana: I’ll be playing with Gabriela Person, who is on the flute, vocals and percussion, my partner on stage and my dear daughter.
Sil: What are your hopes for the outcome of this conference?
Ana: The strengthening of the global community’s concerns with the quality of life on the planet. Also bringing people together, the development of new partnerships for local and global exchange of experiences and the connection of ideas and changes based on social initiatives.
Sil: What advice can you give to someone in order to start a social project similar to what you are doing?
Ana: Acting locally and using their own profession for the common good. In my case, I make music as a way of raising awareness and developing learning.
Sil: What can you say about your experience with Wiser.org and what relationships you have built?
Ana: Through Wiser, I have met you! (Sil Gabriell). I have also met Wibowo Sulistio. This is a great joy, because I feel that distance is no obstacle to shared values and the drawing together of humans no matter where we are, and that creates a new dawn on planet Earth.
